I'm a drummer, composer and educator. I've played with bands, theater groups, multidisciplinary projects, and even composed music for a couple of video games. I'm interested in a wide range of genres and also the spaces between them. Nowadays I'm active in Berlin's multicultural music scene, collaborating with musicians from various backgrounds, enjoying improvisation, sharing and blending musical influences.
My musical journey began in 2003 in my native Argentina, while discovering metal and progressive rock. It evolved through the atmospheres of psychedelic rock and the grooves of funk and hip hop, before leading me to the sophisticated language of modern jazz. As a part of this learning process, I completed a Diploma in Drum Performance (UNR, 2017).
Afterwards, building on top of this formal education, my musical exploration deepened further into Afro-American rhythmic traditions, as well as into experimentation with sampling, music production, sound design and soundscape recording.
I believe learning drums is more than mastering an instrument; it's a way to develop focus, coordination, perseverance, and a creative voice. There's even a sensorial and spiritual aspect to it.
As I work with students of all ages and levels, I try to tailor a plan to each student's goals, focusing on their passion and working towards developing the skills they need.
In the learning process, I like to blend structured learning (technique, rhythm, theory and notation) with creativity and expression like playing along to songs, improvising, and composing. I like to think that mistakes are a natural part of this journey.
